Business Support is different from consultancy. Running an SME has sufficient problems without a consultant telling the Managing Director about a lot of other things that need doing. The Managing Director is aware that the performance of the company could be improved but is normally too busy with other problems to devote time to sort out other areas which may require a particular expertise. Often the Managing Director does not have the specific up to date knowledge to make the necessary changes and can make a bigger contribution in parts of the business where the MD does have relevant knowledge and interest. No MD can be expert in all parts of a business and nor should they try to interfere in areas where they cannot make a real contribution.
We offer a “hands-on” business support scheme. We agree with you what needs doing and then we come and do it for you. The result is improvements are introduced more rapidly without you having to divert your attention from other critical areas.
We are also available for general discussion / brain storming. Sometimes running a business can be a very lonely activity when you do not have someone with whom you can discuss ideas. You are probably aware of how most individuals associated with your company will react to any suggestion you make – largely because they have their own agenda based on a vested interest. We can consider any idea in a dispassionate manner and can contribute ideas from a different perspective.
